Casting for a unique exciting short horror film

We are casting for a unique exciting short horror film directed by an award winning UK based director and established Norwegian producer. The short is being produced as a 'proof of concept' for a feature length version and will be entered into the global festival circuit as well as a series of meeting and presentations in L.A later in the year.

The directors last short film premiered at last year's Screamfest (the biggest horror film festival in the world)and played in many other festivals, finishing at The London Short Film festival and screening at the British Film Institute in London.

The film has a uniquely Norwegian twist, and follows a young group on a hedonistic night of partying when events take very unexpected turns. The key themes of the film are the pressures put upon younger generations (and specifically women) by both peer groups and society itself and the fallout that resisting coercion can sometimes bring.

Filming will commence from Fri 13th to Sunday 15th of April and actors will need to be available for the duration of filming. Filming will involve some travelling through these dates (all expenses will be covered). We will start shooting in the afternoon of Fri 13th. Most of the shooting will be done in Vestfold - with a radius of 10-30km around Tønsberg.

As the film is self funded the budget is very small and as such the roles will be unpaid (no-one involved with the film is receiving any payment, all cast & crew are volunteering time) however of course all expenses, food & drink etc will be covered.

If selected from initial applications we will send you a section of script and ask for a recorded read through to be emailed back to us. A further audition may then be arranged. We are looking for actors that look like they are 19y old.

Chloe - 19 (Ideally English born or English accent essential)
Chloe is an English exchange student studying in Norway. Trying hard to fit in with her new bunch of friends she struggles to strike a balance between pleasing her peers and maintaining her own sense of right/wrong. Chloe is quiet but confident but as the film progresses to it's climax she is faced with dramatic choices which have horrific consequences.

Astrid - 19
Ideally blonde, scandinavian look required.
Astrid is the leader of the girls clique and is a major influence on Chloe (main protagonist). She's cheery, polite and friendly but harbours darker secrets and is not afraid to take control if a situation requires it.

Alex - 19
Scandinavian look, athletic.
Alex is the popular high school star. He's charming, sensitive and seemingly every girls dream boy. Alex will try to charm Chloe (main protagonist). Alex is used to getting his own way and what he wants - so when things do not go to plan, a very different side of him is revealed.

Morten - 19
Ideally big build
Morten is Alex's right hand man and the self proclaimed funny man/joker of the group. He's loud and larger than life, often cracking jokes or playing games at the worst and inappropriate points.
